Interview: Emma Watson Discusses Life and Career With Mizz
|
Britain's Mizz magazine published an interview with Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) in their recent issue. She mentions working on Tale of Despereaux, reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for a second time to prepare for filming, hanging out at Starbucks with friends, and beating Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) at ping-pong, thanks to her competitive parents who wouldn't let her win.
Click here to read what she said on those subjects.

Robert Pattinson Drops Out of Parts Per Billion
|
We previously reported that Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter films) would be starring with Dennis Hopper, Rosario Dawson, and Olivia Thirlby (Juno) in a film called Parts Per Billion. However, MTV have confirmed that Rob has dropped out of the film due to Twilight filming commitments. His agent, Nicholas Frenkel, stated, "Unfortunately, the prep time and production schedule on 'New Moon' haven't left enough time for Robert to work on 'Parts per Billion' in the first quarter of this year."
New Moon is scheduled to begin filming in March and has a release date of November 20, 2009. |

Half-Blood Prince #1 on MTV's Surefire 2009 Blockbuster List
|
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been placed in the number one spot in MTV's Surefire 2009 Blockbuster list.
Every "Potter" film has flirted with a billion dollars worldwide, but will the sixth movie finally cross that sacred plateau? By the time July 17 rolls around, it will have been two years since fans saw their wizard friends onscreen, and many regard "Half-Blood" to be one of the best books in the franchise. Through the first five films, Harry has overseen the most successful movie franchise of all time, and it seems likely that "Prince" will once again crown him king.

No Lego Harry Potter Game - For Now
|
We previously reported that a possible Harry Potter Lego game would be made. However, Eurogamer has now received information that the game is not currently on the project list - at least not for the next 12 months.
Since Warner Bros bought Traveller's Tales, the company that makes the Lego video games, there is still a possibility that it can happen. However, games based off the Harry Potter movies are currently being made by EA, including the one for Half-Blood Prince which will be released this summer. So any Lego games may not happen until after EA finishes their games based off the films. |

My Trip to NYC: FAO Schwarz and Equus
|
I've mentioned in some previous postings that I was taking a trip to New York City. While there, I was able to visit the incredible FAO Schwarz store that includes an entire Harry Potter section and see Equus with Raadhika of The Daily Snitcher/DanRadcliffe.co.uk and Red with SnitchSeeker. I've posted some photos, which you can see below.
You can see the incredible FAO Schwarz Harry Potter section, that includes many of the collectible objects from The Noble Collection, here.
The Broadhurst Theatre, where Equus is shown, can be seen here. After the show, we got to see Dan (see photo here) and Richard Griffiths (see photo here). The play was excellent, and all the actors did an incredible job in it.
I also got a photo of Sardi's, in which some recent photos have shown Dan to be there, including the recent Broadway.com interview. See my photo here.
Overall, the trip was absolutely awesome (it was my first time there!), although incredibly cold for someone who's originally from the desert and now lives in Florida - lol! Loved it, though, and can't wait to go back one day!
Thanks to Raadhika and Red for meeting up with me! |
