Two Potter Actors Named for New Dr. Who Role

David Thewlis (Professor Remus Lupin) and David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.) have been named as possible candidates to take over the role of Dr. Who in the BBC1 show. Actor Christopher Eccleston has quit the role, stating he is afraid of being typecast.

Chris Eccleston is brilliant. I was never a fan of Doctor Who, now I love it. He is really funny in it. He gets all the right expressions and stuff. You should totally watch it. He is brill.

btv you should watch it, it is really good. I wasn't too keen on Billie being in it, but I have to hand it to her, she is a good actor.

It means that hes afraid that if he keeps doing Doctor Who, he wont get offered any different roles.

I was going to watch the new series, but Billie Piper really annoys me too much.

I'm really upset Christopher Eccleston has not signed up for a second series, he is by far the best doctor. I hope the next doctor can match up to him. David Thewlis I think could be good as the next doctor, but if he does take it on, I hope it doesn't get in the way of him playing Professor Lupin for the Harry Potter films.
