J.K. Rowling Updates Site With Family Tree Drawing
|
We informed you that another video of ITV's J.K. Rowling...A Year in The Life was online that included showing Jo do a drawing of family trees for different Harry Potter characters. Jo has now placed that drawing on her site. To find it, simply click on the eraser to enter the Room of Requirement, and then click on the door, and you'll see the skull on the paper that's on the desk. Click on the skull to see the drawing. *caution for spoilers*

ITV has released another preview of J.K. Rowling...A Year in the Life. This time Jo draws out entire family trees of many of our Harry Potter heroes, which you can see a photo of here. You can see the video over on YouTube here! The documentary will air on December 30th at 7pm.

The reading takes place during a Sotheby party in which Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan) attended. Amazon.com Lucky Beedle the Bard Winner!
|
Amazon.com have announced that they are the lucky winner of today's auction of J.K. Rowling's handwritten book The Tales of Beedle the Bard. The winning bid was for $3.9 million (£1,950,000) in which all monies went to the charity The Children's Voice, an organization in which Jo co-founded.

Beedle the Bard Goes for $3.98 Million!
|
J.K. Rowling's handwritten The Tales of Beedle the Bard was auctioned today. The book was expected to sell at around $100,000, but instead auctioned at $3.98 million (1.95 million pounds)! All proceeds will go to The Children's Voice, a charity that J.K. Rowling co-founded. There were a total of seven copies of this book, all bound in brown leather and decorated in silver and moonstones. The other six were given to those who Jo wished to have because they helped her during the process of making the Harry Potter books. You can see photos from the auction here.
UPDATE: Jo said regarding this auction, "I'm stunned and ecstatic. This will mean so much to the children desperately in need of help. It means Christmas has come early for me."

Harry Potter Kids and J.K. Rowling Documentaries
|
J.K. Rowling mentioned yesterday that she has been filmed for the past 12 months for a documentary titled J.K.Rowling - A Year In The Life. The confirmed air date and time are Sunday, December 30th, at 7pm on ITV1.
Additionally, the Biography channel will be airing The Harry Potter Kids on December 19th at 9pm ET. This documentary talks about how Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint got their roles in the films, and much more!
