Knowing that I am a big fan of the actress who portrayed "Bellatrix Lestrange" in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Dijares has given me the honor to lead us in wishing the 42 year old actress a Happy Birthday, Ms. Bonham Carter! Helena Bonham Carter was born on May 26, 1966 in Golders Green, London. She came from a politically prominent family. Her great-grandfather was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, H.H. Asquith.
But obviously, Ms. Bonham Carter wanted to be an actress. She became internationally well-known for her role as "Lucy Honeychurch" in A Room With A View. Aside from her role as "Bellatrix Lestrange", Ms. Bonham Carter is currently known for her latest role as "Mrs. Lovett" in the film adaptation of Sondheim's musical, Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street with Johnny Depp. For that role, she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in A Musical or Comedy and a Best Actress Award in the 2007 Evening Standard British Film Awards.
