Barnes and Noble "Tagged" Deathly Hallows Read By Jim Dale
|
Barnes and Noble posted a video on their website of the audiobooks they "tagged" for summer listening "on bikes, boats, while backpacking..." Molly Pesce also mentions the narrators of those audiobooks.
One of the recommended audiobooks was the US edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows read by Jim Dale. Ms. Pesce mentions his Audie awards and his record in the Guinness Book of World Records for creating 134 character voices for one audio recording which he had done in his narration of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. And now, he has broken that record with his creation of 146 voices in his reading of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
An interview Mr. Dale had given prior to his recording of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows states that he had ...crafted Hermione after his first girlfriend, Professor McGonagall after a Scottish aunt and Professor Dumbledore after his friend John Houseman...
And speaking of Tony Awards, Mr. Dale has one for Best Actor In A Musical for his role as "P.T. Barnum" in Barnum.
