As most of you are aware, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Princehas been delayed to July 2009. After the date change was announced, Warner Bros. President Alan Horn sent a response to the fans about the delay.
Still, it seems, the disappointment of the Harry Potter fans has not decreased. Rather, there have been many letters, some including death threats, sent to WB. Protesters have stood outside the Burbank offices. Videos of fans' reactions (caution for adult language) have been posted to YouTube.
So far, however, none of these reactions have changed the decision to keep the film's (and now the game's) release date at July 2009.
So, what to do? There are a few things we fans can look forward to. There is the release of The Tales of Beedle the Bard in December. Emma Watson's (Hermione Granger) film Ballet Shoes has just been released on DVD. Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is currently on Broadway in Equus until February 2009. Rupert has just completed a new film, Cherry Bomb. Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has also signed on for a few projects. And, last, but not least, Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) will star in the very popular Twilight film that will now be released November 21st (taking Half-Blood Prince's previous release date).
I'm still just as excited to see HBP, even though it's been moved back 9 months! I was excited for Twilight, but after reading BD, I'm taking a veeeerrrrrry long break from Twilight. I think Twilight will be the movie that I wait to rent on DVD.

I was reallyyyyyyyy pissed bout WB postponing the movie, but then I read the Twilight books, and I fell in love with not only the book, but with Edward Cullen!!! Heeheehee... So I'm not as angry with WB as I am excited for the Twilight movie!!!!!

I'm thrilled Twilight took HP's place though I'd rather have had HP there. More for us, right? Face it, if The Dark Knight hadn't done so well we'd have HP, it's all about money. WB obviously doesn't have a bank besides HP to milk in 2009. Bring on Twilight and let WB suck it.

whats up with the death threats...people need to chill
by seeker15 @ 10 Sep 2008 - 21:24
no. twilight is awesome. why should we boycott that? it's not their fault WB pushed it back! if they hadn't taken the spot, someone else would've. for the people who are both fans of HP and Twilight, it makes the HBP move just a little bit better. at least we get Twilight a little earlier. i'm still ticked off at WB though. the Twilight move makes it a LITTLE better. not a lot.

ok so i know everybody wants to boycot WB but frankly i cnt wait till it comes out on dvd and Twilight sux for taking its place now that movie we should boycot

WB still sucks; Boycott still stands. Just wait till it comes out on DVD and rent it, borrow it, get it from the library. Why should we fatten WBs' pockets anymore?

Tina: There hasn't been any word yet on the release date (that I know of) for The Disappeared yet.
by seeker15 @ 10 Sep 2008 - 16:45
i'd still rather have half-blood prince. i'm a HUGE Twilight fan, but i'd still rather wait the [originally] extra month for Twilight and have Half-Blood Prince November 21.
by Tina @ 10 Sep 2008 - 14:35
Anyone know when or if The Disappeared is going on general release please?
