We previously told you that Scholastic was planning a special 10-year anniversary edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to be released on September 23rd. To help celebrate the release, they're having a Harry Potter Cover to Cover Day read-a-thon at their headquarters in New York City on the same day. Those who are there can get a chance to read from the book while sitting in the very same throne that JK Rowling sat in at Carnegie Hall. The first 100 readers will get a copy of the book. See a video of all their preparations for the read-a-thon here.
Some special guests will also be taking part in the event, including KayCee Stroh from High School Musical 3, the academy award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Kurt Loder from MTV as well as Jill Zarin from Real Housewives of New York on Bravo.
For those who are unable to attend, they're going to hold the event live online at www.scholastic.com/readharry.
