Scholatic Contest: Win a Trip to Rowling Beedle Tea Party
|
Scholastic have announced that they are holding a contest in which five lucky people (along with chaperons) can win a trip to the Beedle Tea Party to be held in Edinburgh and where JK Rowling will be reading excerpts from The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
In order to enter, you must write an essay of 200 words or less describing causes you care about and what you've done to make a difference. The contest begins today. You must have your entry submitted by October 30th at 5PM EST. You must be legal resident of the United States with a valid U.S. passport and be between 8-17 years old.
You can find out more information at Scholastic's website here.
Additionally, fans can visit The New York Public Library beginning December 4th until January 4th, 2009, to view one of the JK Rowling's hand written versions of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. This version belongs to Scholastic editor Arthur Levine who has kindly offered to allow the book to be displayed. |
