Here's the news on everything Harry Potter!

Isaacs, Thewlis, and Heyman Interviews
Harry Potter producer David Heyman, and actors Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) and David Thewlis (Professor Lupin) were all recently interviewed and all had a bit to say about the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows films, including some slight tweaks to the next film, romance between Lupin and Tonks, and Isaacs corrects a misquote about Dan Radcliffe and Equus. Read more to see some of what they had to say.

David Heyman and David Thewlis spoke with Comingsoon.net about their project they did together, The Boy in Striped Pyjamas. In the interview, Mr. Heyman had a bit to say on the delay of Half-Blood Prince and that they're working on some tweaks to the film.

"I think that there was some people... kids were definitely upset, and I'm really sympathetic to that," Heyman told us when asked about the decision to delay the sixth installment. "I would love the film to come out in November; we would have been ready, but the fact is partly because of the writers strike and for whatever reason, Warners didn't have any movies next summer. They had Batman this year which was bigger than they ever thought it would be, so they came to me, and they said, 'David, we want to move it.' Warners has been really good to us. They've given us lots of money and lots of independence. It defies belief how much independence we have on these films. They give us the money, they read a draft of the script. I choose the director, we make the film, they come and visit. We show them a cut of the film, they say they like it, they give us some notes, we make the changes that we want to make. We test screen it once and show it to them, and then the movie is released. They've been so supportive that one has to support... they needed it. It's a film business."

"The film's done," he confirmed. "We're just mixing and there's a slight tweak we're going to do but actually, if the film was coming out tomorrow, we'd have done it but we have the time. One of the issues that's come up is security so we are not putting a married print together. We're keeping all the elements separate until we start to make the prints, which will be six weeks before the movie comes out. Piracy is such a huge issue."

Later, Thewlis spoke with them about the romance between Lupin and Tonks saying that they have already started working on the romance in Half-Blood Prince.

Thewlis also spoke with Moviehole about The Boys in Striped Pyjamas and the Harry Potter films.

Question: But when you do something like a Potter movie, because it's such a fantasy, and the world is so fantasy-oriented, does it remind you of why you wanted to become an actor in this, in the fact that it's all about make-believe?

Thewlis: Yeah. Well, there was a scene in The Prisoner of Azkaban, the scene with the Shrieking Shack and the three children - there's me and Gary Oldman and Timothy Spore and Alan Rickman all in the same room, and we're all pointing wands at each other and threatening each other like we've got a [INAUD] going on. [LAUGHTER] That really felt like being a kid at school with a water pistol going, "Come any nearer and I'll blow your head off." You know, that really felt like going back to childhood, doing something like that. Because you actually feel quite ridiculous. You've got a knitting needle in your hand, and you're threatening someone's life with it, you know. Now, obviously, when they put the special effects in, it does look a lot better. But you can imagine.

Question: Have you finished shooting Half-Blood Prince?

Thewlis: Yeah. That finished a long time ago. And, yeah, it's out next year.

Question: And you're on to Deathly Hallows.

Thewlis: Yeah. The last one is going to be two movies.

Question: Do you have a lot more to do in these last ones?

Thewlis: I have no idea. I mean, I have not seen the scripts.

Question: Oh, really?

Thewlis: Yeah. We don't start until next February. And I think the scripts are just about coming out any time soon, so I'll be able to answer that. I have no indication yet of how much I'm involved.

Question: And do you have much to do in Half-Blood Prince?

Thewlis: Oh, in Half-Blood Prince? No, not a great deal. About the same as Order of the Phoenix. No, I'm not central to it in any way. It's a few weeks work. Maybe a little more than in Order of the Phoenix.

Jason Isaacs spoke with the Chicago Sun-Times about his latest project, Good during the Chicago International Film Festival Wednesday night. He stars in the film with Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn in Lord of the Rings). He corrected a misquote about something he had said about Dan and Equus.

Isaacs was quoted as saying he wouldn't go see Radcliffe on Broadway in "Equus" because he thought the idea of seeing Harry Potter naked was twisted.

"Total rubbish. I missed seeing Daniel in 'Equus' in London because I was doing [the Showtime series] 'Brotherhood,' and now I'll miss him again because I'm off to Morocco to finish [the movie] 'Green Zone.' ... Of course, I would love to see him in the play."

He and Viggo also joked about how fans often only see them as the characters they play instead of the actual people they are. He mentioned how one fan, who had done some work on his house, was actually disappointed in him after meeting him in person. He went on to explain the fan's wife's explanation. "She got a bit tongue-tied, before admitting he likely didn't ask for an autograph since I sort of disappointed him. According to his wife, he thought me in real life 'a bit of a wimp and so very middle class and kind of boring' ... and that was just fine with me!"lol

Comingsoon.net apparently misquotes David Thewlis when he describes his scene in HP & the Prisoner of Azkaban. The actor playing Peter Pettigrew/Wormtail is Timothy Spall, not Timothy "Spore".
