According to an article posted on Variety, Summit Entertainment plans to replicate their November success of Twilight by scheduling the film release of the next story in the series, New Moon, for November 20, 2009.
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will not be directing the second film. Chris Weitz has signed on for that “role”. He is known for his work on About a Boy and The Golden Compass.
Although it is not mentioned in the article but stated in a few interviews, Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) who portrayed “Edward Cullen” in Twilight plans to reprise his role for New Moon. Yea!
Love that Robert is playing For Edward. He is like so hot and gorgeous man alive. Edward the character is every girls dream guy, im sure we could all come to an agreement with this girls! Can not wait for New Moon to be released!!

I think Kristen's perfect for Bella. She not unfriendly, she's just very quiet and solitary. I think she captures Bella's character perfectly because of it.

robert's the bomb but kristen stewart isn't right for bella. Bella's a kind of helpless character but kristen stewart is too bold and unfriendly. she doesn't mix with the rest of the cast.

Yeah, because if he was not Edward in New Moon the fans would be pissed, for lack of a better term. He's sexy, a great actor, has great chemistry with Bella, and fit's the role of Edward perfectly.
