Broadway.com posted an unconfirmed report that Domhnall Gleeson, son of Brendan Gleeson (Mad-eye Moody), is expected to receive the role of “Bill Weasley” (Ron Weasley's oldest brother) in the film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Domhnall Gleeson is known to theatergoers for his Tony nominated performance as "Davey" in a 2006 Broadway production of Lieutenant of Irishmore, a black comedy by Martin McDonagh. At that time, he gave an interview for Broadway.com and was quoted to have said:
"I'd been very certain about not wanting to do the acting thing because of my father…I thought I'd always have the father-son thing of 'He got you the part.”
Although his father is a "frequent collaborator" of Martin McDonagh’s, Gleeson’s Tony nomination proved that his acting career didn’t need any help.
look no more you've found the right man for Bill Weasley.
