Tom Felton on Another Poll for New Moon Alec Character

We previously reported that Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films) was on a People.com poll as one of the choices as the Volturi vampire character Alec in the second of the Twilight saga's films, New Moon.

Tom is now in another poll - this time for Entertainment Weekly. Dakota Fanning has been confirmed as Alec's sister, Jane, but Alec's part still hasn't been decided upon. There must be some people pulling for Tom since he's appeared in two different polls.

He's currently in second place with 13% of the vote. High School Musical's Lucas Grabeel is just above him. You can vote for him here!

my god are most of you daft?! so what if he does new moon. i personally would love to see him play alec. when i read new moon for the first time it was tom that i pictured in the role. and with dakota playing jane, they make the perfect 'witch twin' as they're called in breaking dawn. he can't be draco (as much as i would love that too) forever. i love both series of books as much as the other, as with the films.so i am compleyely impatial. if he gets the part, congrats, if not, he's still got the deathly hallows.....

I am already sad that Dakota actually got into such a crappy production, it would be so bad If Tom got the role, If he wanted to do it then I would have to live with it, but The Twilight movies are something I swore not to ever go to see again.. I love Tom and I think he does deserve to do other characters, jsut not this.

really Kristen has done many movies, into the wild, The messsengers, In the Land of women, , Zatura, she is anything but an outcast, and Rob was in Harry Potter that is just enough for people to know who he is. Taylor the guy who played Jacob is done some disney movies, Shark boy and Lava girl, and cheaper by the dozen 2. I don't get where you got the whole unknown cast, for Twiligh, The only character close to the book was Alice and maybe Jasper

I think he'd be great, but it seems a lot like type casting. Which isn't very nice to the actor.

Well my thing is that Twilight SUCKS and I have no doubt he could do that role or anything, I mean he's a great actor but I am sorry, he belongs to us (HP)fans; let them find their own gem...I can't wait to see him do other things, but again NOT THAT CRAP! fff

But like "Bets" mentioned above, which is a good point, he will busy doing DH...THANK GOD!!!

so then..is tom just cursed to be draco malfoy forever? i think it'd be good to see him in something like twilight..i mean, robert was a wizard in harry potter and then a vampire in twilight..it's just a character..the more the merrier i say

The problem is that they already have a image, in this case Draco Malfo, i can't see Tom as anything else other then that. Personally i don't think he isn't that attractive, and Alec should be very cute. Also he won't look that great with dark hair.

Personally what i loved about Twilight was the unknown characters, i never herd of any of them and that's what made me find it believable. "oh that guy really does look like Jacob, oh she does look like Alice" that's what i thought.
Since they Have Dakota Fanning as Jane, i wish and hope they have someone who is unknown for Alec, we should at least get that.

that'd be pretty problematic considering he'll be filming deathly hallows for the next 14 months..although, i dont really understand why it would be such a terrible thing if he got it

Me too. I really really really hope the role goes to someone else. Not anything against Tom. I would just hate to see him get involved with that role.
