We previously reported that Eclipse with Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) will be released in theaters on June 30, 2010. Summit emailed us a confirmation of this date along with the announcement that David Slade will direct Pattinson and his co-stars in the third film of the Twilight series.
Currently, Pattinson is still in the process of filming New Moon which is directed by Chris Weitz. New Moon will be released in theaters on November 20, 2009.

30 Days of Night is about my 4th or 5th favorite vampire movie, which is saying. I just hope he can tone down the violence for Eclipse. It shouldn't be that bloody. He'll do a good job

yes, i agre..david slade will be reallllly good for eclipse..i LOVED 30 Days of Night..great creepy bloody vampire movie..so i think he'll bring really good images and pace to eclipse..rok on!

that's good. David Slade did 30 Days of Night which was a good and scary vampire movie. Eclipse has potential for scary scenes as the vampires fight each other and attack Seattle. I am looking forward to it. They better move fast before Rob is 30 hehehe.
