USA Today have a video and new photos of Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. They show costumes, herbology items, and much more.
According to their report, when entering the exhibit, there are eight video screens showing clips from the movies as music from the soundtracks plays. A wall rises to reveal a life-sized train: Hogwarts Express, surrounded by billowing fog. After strolling past a wall of portraits, some of their subjects "alive" via video, visitors enter the Gryffindor common room.
Many of the precious items are where people can't get close enough to touch them, however most objects are close enough to examine fine details, such as the snake clasps on Lucius Malfoy's cloak and Lord Voldemort's hand-carved wand. A sign on a gardening bench says "please pull," inviting visitors to tug on a baby mandrake — in Potter lore, a plant with a humanlike root that emits screams when yanked.
Visitors can plop down in an enormous chair in the hut occupied by Hagrid, the half-giant groundskeeper at Hogwarts. They can toss a Quaffle — a 12-inch leather-covered ball used in the wizarding game Quidditch — through three metal rings.
Many of the professors' items are also included in the exhibit, including Professor Trelawney's glass ball.
