Theft Attempts Made For Devon Murray’s DH Script

The Evening Herald in Ireland reported the Harry Potter film producers’ decision to move the Deathly Hallows script to a safe house after several break-in attempts were made in the family house of Devon Murray (Seamus Finnegan) by thieves who were hoping to get their hands on the storylines for the final Harry Potter films.

Murray was quoted to have said:

"It just wasn't safe to keep it there, as there was so much hype surrounding the new storylines, so they now use a safe house for the script,"…

The article also mentioned that Murray is getting ready for a world-wide tour to promote Half-Blood Prince. He has no problems with being in the public eye, telling the paper that he is not always recognized at home in Ireland, but in America, it is another story:

"It's more when I go to America that they go mad for anyone connected with the movie. It was also crazy when we did a promotional tour in Japan, I must have shook hands with about two million people during that trip alone, it was mental,".

But he enjoys the occasional benefits, like accompanying Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) to a shopping trip in Harrods of London:

"We were allowed to just grab whatever we wanted so I took all these designer jeans, but I didn't bother even trying them on so none of them fit properly!"

And hanging out with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter):

"He's totally wired," he laughed. "He's a great man to go for a night out with as he loves partying and is up for anything. He's great craic."

A special benefit for Murray is being able to spend time with his horses. He breeds them at his Offaly stud farm and has several contenders for the 2010 Olympics. The equestrian star Cian O’Connor has already expressed an interest in one of his mounts.

However, it is back to Harry Potter business for Murray with the upcoming Half-Blood Prince tour and filming his scenes for Deathly Hallows in October which he believes will take at least six months.
