Cast & Crew Arrive At Shell Cottage To Film Deathly Hallows
|
We previously reported on the Deathly Hallows film set construction of Shell Cottage in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Now, The Leaky Cauldron has received reports of Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley), and Warwick Davis (as Griphook) arriving in the area with the crew. They were seen earlier today at the beach.
One report was from Jo:
"From the looks of the conservatory and garden, it looks like they may do some internal filming. You can also see a chair in one of the front windows. I couldn’t get over the detail, the little window next the chimney is just such a nice effect, even lobster pots in the garden!"
Since the UK is approximately five hours ahead of us, I believe filming may have already started (per TLC's report of an early morning filming) at Freshwater Beach.
There are photos of the film crew setting up for filming at Shell Cottage in the photo gallery, courtsey of a Facebook group for Freshwater Beach who has photos from S. Click here to see them.
Thanks to TLC |

David Yates on OOTP and More
|
The LA Times has a new article on the Order of the Phoenix
"During one particularly emotional scene in this installment, Radcliffe recalls [Gary] Oldman [Sirius Black] saying to him: "'Dan, do you mind if I do something sort of physical with you before we start?' I was like, 'No, no,' assuming he meant giving me a hug. He came up to me and grabbed me and shook me really, really hard. As he went away, he kept eye contact. And tears started to form up. I had no idea how it happened, but it worked."
Emma also mentioned that Yates is perfect for this film: "I don't know if he could have directed any of the other ones. This was his story to tell."
Thanks again MN! |

Another Heyman Interview
|
Empire Online are releasing a lot of interviews of all involved in Goblet of Fire and this time round, its David Heyman's turn. The producer of all Harry Potter films to date said (about a possible split of Goblet):
"We went through the process of thinking about that, of thinking was there enough here for two films? Where would you break this if you were to do two films? Were there two coherent stories within it? We came to the conclusion that it would work very well as one film." You can read the entire interview here. |

Heyman Interview
|
David Heyman, producer of all current Harry Potter spoke with Comingsoon.net. Although the interview was conducted almost a year ago, comingsoon.net have placed it up along with their set visit. You can read the interview here.
CS: How's the planning been going on making the fifth movie? Heyman: We'll be announcing a director, I imagine, by the end of the year, maybe sooner than that, and we will have a first draft screenplay by a new screenwriter in the next few weeks. We are working with a writer by the name of Michael Goldenberg. We are not working with Steve Kloves. The choice was entirely Steve's and not our own. Steve had worked on four Potters and Steve Kloves is a writer and also, very much of a director. He directed "The Fabulous Baker Boys" as his first film and he did a film called "Flesh and Blood" and he has not directed in I think almost ten years. For me, I'm very excited because he's going to be writing and directing a project for me, so he's still a part of my life. He made a decision that he wanted to get back to directing, so he's working on a project that I have called "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time." I haven't seen a draft of that yet, but he's writing that to direct, and I hope that'll happen sometime in the next year or so. I think we'll start that in early 2006. |
