Dan Radcliffe Film Review Magazine HBP Interview
|
Dan Radcliffe recently spoke wtih Film Review Magazine about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and how he thinks he'll feel when he's finished with the films. You can see a scan of the article (thanks to SnitchSeeker) in our gallery here.
"It will be very, very odd to suddenly not be coming back to Harry Potter," he said. "And I'll be sad to leave the character behind and not see on a daily basis the friends that I've made."
Of Half-Blood Prince, he said, "Harry is unhappy for a lot of this film, mainly because people keep trying to kill him. And his love life is awful, too. That's what Jo [JK Rowling] does so well, combining everyday, mundane problems with this incredible other world." |

Daniel Trades "Broomstick" For "Cricket Bat"
|
An article on TimesOnline reminds us that after Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) was seen asking Shane Warne to sign his copy of Wisden at the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix London premiere, he spent his 18th birthday last summer watching cricket at Lord's.
In an interview, Daniel told BBC's Jonathan Agnew about a dream he had of Andrew Strauss, "I remember him chasing me with a cricket bat and I mentioned this in an interview. It was during the West Indies series when he wasn't in the greatest of form. I heard this Australian voice saying, "Don't worry, mate, he wouldn't be able to hit you if he did catch you,' which wasn't the most generous of comments."
Daniel said Strauss and Sachin Tendulkar didn't recognize him as he queued for their autographs. "They were doing the thing that I do, which is to just keep your head down and keep moving as you sign." When Strauss heard what happened, he sent a Harry Potter book to the TMS box to get Daniel's autograph for his son, Sam.

Radcliffe, Yates Talk Harry and Ginny
|
In a recent interview with Chilean magazine Wikén, Daniel Radcliffe talks briefly about Harry's romantic predicament in Half-Blood Prince.
"It's a complex story," said Radcliffe, who plays Harry in the films. "It's not a simple romance because Harry's friends with Ron, and Ginny's his sister. Harry feels like he's walking on eggshells."
David Yates said, "the fifth film was quite intense, but Half-Blood Prince has a lot more comedy in it. There are many subtleties in the relationship, and tonnes of both sexual and emotional tension."
Half-Blood Prince releases in cinemas on November 21st.

'Potter' Never Gets Old, Says Radcliffe
|

(It was announced recently that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book in the series, would be made into two films.)
"There's always something fresh to do, new aspects of the character to explore," said Radcliffe. "We're constantly innovating so it stays fresh."
When asked about the Boston-based Wizard Rock band Harry and the Potters, Daniel admitted to having not heard of them, but said that he would like to.
"My favourite Potter-related song is by the Liars," Radcliffe said, "It's called 'If You're a Wizard Then Why Do You Wear Glasses?' . . . I like that one." |

Stories of Threats to Dan Radcliffe NOT True
|
In the past 24 hours, some tabloid magazines (namely, The Sun) have published that Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has received threats to his life. This story has now spread to other news organizations. The stories state that his driver of many years has been changed and that SAS guards are protecting him.
I made a few phone calls and sent a few emails to try to get confirmation of this. Page, our partner over at DanRadclife.co.uk, was informed by Dan's publicist that this information is absolutely not true. Dan has not received any death threats whatsoever.
Just wanted to ease anyone's fears that Dan is being threatened. The world is already frightening enough without these fabricated stories making it worse. |
