|
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films) is featured in the June 2009 edition of Candy magazine. The article goes through the alphabet with facts about her and in the interview she talks about Potter, including how she thinks its funny to see Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) struggle with the romantic scenes. MTV Poll: Watson Should Star With Pattinson in 'Remember Me'
|
MTV had conducted a poll on their site, asking fans who they would choose to co-star with Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) in the film Remember Me which will begin shooting this summer in New York City. 41% of the voters chose Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) over the 30% who chose themselves. Lolol. Other names on the poll were Camilla Belle, Megan Fox, and Angelina Jolie.
Angelina Jolie?...there's an interesting thought. Lol. But I think it would be more interesting if it were Emma Watson.

Emma Watson's Thoughts Upon Returning From Wales
|
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) added a new ems message on her official site. She mentions what a nice trip it was to do filming away from the studios. She enjoyed the weather and believes she may have gotten a sun tan. 
Watson also mentions how surprising it is that in two weeks she will be halfway through filming her scenes for Deathly Hallows. She is considering to have everyone (cast and crew, I imagine) sign a Harry Potter book for her. For now, she is filming night scenes this week and tried to stay up late this past weekend in preparation for them.
Do you think she should have everyone sign a book? Hmmm...I wonder if there is a way we can create an electronic autograph book for her to be signed by her fans.

Dan, Emma, and Rupert Photo To Be In Empire's Exhibit
|
We previously reported that Empire magazine did a feature on Half-Blood Prince in their anniversary edition. According to Jo, the webmistress of Emma Watson's official site, one of the photos taken for the feature will be exhibited in Empire's "first ever" photographic exhibition at the Century Club in London. There will be 18 other photographic portraits of well-known actors, like Tom Cruise, Jodie Foster, and Anthony Hopkins, which were specially commissioned for the magazine's 20th birthday issue that was guest-edited by Steven Spielberg.

Cast & Crew Arrive At Shell Cottage To Film Deathly Hallows
|
We previously reported on the Deathly Hallows film set construction of Shell Cottage in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Now, The Leaky Cauldron has received reports of Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley), and Warwick Davis (as Griphook) arriving in the area with the crew. They were seen earlier today at the beach.
One report was from Jo:
"From the looks of the conservatory and garden, it looks like they may do some internal filming. You can also see a chair in one of the front windows. I couldn’t get over the detail, the little window next the chimney is just such a nice effect, even lobster pots in the garden!"
Since the UK is approximately five hours ahead of us, I believe filming may have already started (per TLC's report of an early morning filming) at Freshwater Beach.

MTV had the chance to speak with Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and David Heyman about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In the interview, Emma talks about some of the comedy and the Ron/Lavender relationship. Dan talks about how challenging it is to tell the story in the film. Producer David Heyman states that this film concentrates on the relationship of Dumbledore and Harry Potter and their search for the past and the puzzle and key to defeat Voldemort. |
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has said in a recent interview with MTV that she knew all along that her Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix co-star Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) would become a star. Although admitting to not having seen his breakout film Twilight, Emma states that she is thrilled for Rob's success:
"I’m very happy for Rob that it’s been so successful...He is a very, very handsome man, so I’m not too surprised"

In the feature, they talk about how the film's release date was pushed back, a set visit that included filming of a very emotional scene, and interviews with screenwriter Steven Kloves, director David Yates, Rupert Grint, Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and producer David Heyman. Emma Watson Can't Believe She's 19 Already!
|
Emma Watson updated her official site with an EMS message in response to the birthday wishes she has received from everyone. In the message, she states "It looks like my birthday snuck up on me...:) I so don't want to be 19!..."
Watson also wrote that so much has happened in the past year and she is looking forward to going to college in September. She still hasn't decided which university she will attend, but will let us know on her site. Due to her filming schedule for Deathly Hallows, Watson had a quiet birthday celebration by having dinner with her family.

Emma Watson: Being Famous Complicates Things
|
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films) recently spoke with The Telegraph about becoming older and how being famous makes things more difficult, like finding someone she likes or that likes here.
"Finding someone that you like, or who likes you, is always difficult at my age," says Emma, who turns 19 next month. "But being famous complicates things much more. I suppose that some boys feel a bit intimidated by me and stay on their guard."
She continues, saying it's easier while on the film set, "It's easier to pull on film sets. They are a goldmine!"
But, now she's older, she knows she needs to be more responsible for herself.
"I've got my driving licence and bought myself a car, a grey Toyota Prius," she says. "And now I can drink alcohol! I feel more free to to do what I want to do, and I suppose that I have to be more responsible for myself. That's a big change."
