Lycos, an international web search engine which also offers email, personal web pages and the latest news, based Emma’s position on the news of her birthday, her acquisition of £10 million, and an unconfirmed offer for the role of Betsy Balcombe in the film Napoleon and Betsy. |

Harry Potter Trio On Britain’s Richest 100 Young Millionaires List
|
According to an article in London’s Sunday Times, Harry Potter stars Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) are featured on its list of Britain’s Richest 100 Young Millionaires for the first time. Emma has earned £10 million. Rupert has earned £7 million.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), already listed, is worth £20 million after he invested his wealth.

OOTP and Watson Nominated for Constellation Awards
|
Canada’s Sci-Film/TV Awards nominees for 2008 have been announced via Marketwire. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been nominated to receive the Constellation Award for Best Technical Accomplishment in a 2007 Science Fiction Film or Television Production in Costume Design. Jany Temime, the costume designer for the fifth Harry Potter film, is the recipient for that nomination. Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has been nominated to receive the award for Best Female Performance in a 2007 Science Fiction FilmTV Movie, or Mini-Series.

Some of her fellow Harry Potter actors were in attendance, including Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley). You can see some photos of them at the party in our gallery below:

Emma Watson as Napoleon's Betsy
|
Emma Watson, who portrays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, is attached as the character of Betsy Balcombe in the film Napoleon and Betsy. The part was originally cast with Scarlett Johansson, but has now been given to Emma. The film is written by Benjamin Ross and is about the last days of Napoleon Bonaparte's life that he spent on the island of St. Helena where he falls in love with a young English girl. They hope to start filming this fall.

'The Harry Potter Kids' to Re-Air on Biography
|
The Biography Channel has updated their schedule and The Harry Potter Kids, a documentary about Daniel Radclifffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, is on its listings.
First aired in Decemeber 2007, The Harry Potter Kids explores how three ordinary children became world-renowned superstars. The documentary will air April 23rd, 2008 at 10:00pm EST.

Emma's Birthday Present of 10.5 Million Pounds
|
According to an article in Hello Magazine, Emma Watson was granted access to £10.5 million (about $20.7 million) by her parents from the money she has earned, so far, for her role as "Hermione Granger" in the Harry Potter films. The "birthday gift", however, had a stipulation. On the advice of her parents, Emma attended a crash course by the Queen's Bank on how to handle that amount of money. Tom Felton, who plays "Draco Malfoy", also attended the course.
During the three-day course, the two Harry Potter stars had meetings with private bankers and lessons on spending and budgeting. They also listened to presentations from charity organizations. A Public Relations Agency spoke to them on the importance of protecting one's reputation. |

As many of you already know, today is Emma Watson's 18th birthday! Her official website has added a post and a video from her, which can be seen here.
The video shows Emma in her costume in her Harry Potter dressing room at Leavesden Studios.
In her video, she says, "Hello everyone at EmmaWatsonOfficial! Today I am 18! I can’t actually believe it, it’s so exciting. I just wanted to send you a message to thank you so much for all of your birthday wishes and I'm so touched that you're all thinking of me. I'm just having such a great day - I've just been changed and through hair and make-up. I’m here in my dressing room at Leavesden. I've just had my breakfast," she picked up a bowl from in front of her, "strawberries and Nutella, before I go down to set; I'm just having such a good day. Lots of love!"

Actress Emma Watson, best known to fans of the Harry Potter series as bookworm Hermione Granger, has, for the third year running, made the 'Most Beautiful Faces' list by tccandler.com, placing twenty-seventh.
Emma Watson will turn eighteen next week, on the fifteenth, as noted by an article at EmmaWatsonOfficial. A large candle has been added to the site animation with a countdown in celebration.
In addition to her role in the Harry Potter films, Emma Watson has appeared in Ballet Shoes and will provide the voice for Princess Pea in the upcoming animated film, The Tale of the Despereaux, due to release December 19th.

Emma In Vogue

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has updated her official website with news of her pictures in the U.K. and U.S. versions of Vogue. The U.S. Vogue has a photo of her taken with Christopher Bailey of Burberry, from her appearance at the Burberry & Vanity Fair gallery a few months ago. The U.K. Vogue's photo of Emma is from the opening of Balenciaga's in Mount Street, London. Both events were happening approximately at the same time during London's fashion week.
According to her website, this will be the first time Emma has been pictured in the US version of Vogue. If photo scans from Vogue are available, Emma's webmistress Jo will update the website with them. But we do have a copy of the US Vogue photo here in our photo gallery. |

This time Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) will be making a donation to The Wild Trust Trout. According to an article in the Telegraph, the Harry Potter star has found a passion for fishing, thanks to her father. |
Sense, a UK organization that offers services and assistance for adults and children who are deafblind or have associated disabilities, held a celebrity auction on Ebay which has now ended. Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) donated a t-shirt and waistcoat. Her items received a winning bid of 620 pounds ($1,268.86). Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) donated a jacket that received a winning bid of 361 pounds ($715.17).

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) updated her website talking about her attendance at the Blueberry and Vanity Fair party at the National Portrait Gallery this past week. While there, she met Johnny Borrel from Razorlight. The both of them shared the same taxi to PPQ. Rumors then began throughout different news articles that she was dating Johnny. On this account, Emma stated, "But goodness, I am really going to have to watch who I stand next to from now on!! Maybe I should stand next to Orlando Bloom and then we can be said to be 'dating'!" |
