Helen McCrory: Interview With UK's Evening Standard
|
Thanks to Helen’s Haven and Damian's Dominion, scans from an interview Helen McCrory did with UK’s Evening Standard can be read online. The interview happened a week after the British actress completed her role as “Narcissa Malfoy” in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. When asked about the filming, her reply was: "If I told you that they'd shoot you as you walked away from this building. No I'm not joking." Then she reveals: "It's like working for MI5. When you film, a man comes in with a wand. You do the scene, and as soon as it's finished, it's locked in a cupboard. At first you think: 'Why?' And then you see the eyes of the kids being shown round the set and you think: 'Oh that's why.' Because if it's not nailed down, it's going to disappear."
Ms. McCrory mentions her experience with American healthcare while living in Los Angeles, CA when her husband Damian Lewis was working on a film. At the time, she had been seven months pregnant and her older daughter Manon had developed a fever.
Other topics included her background and her current projects, which one of them is her role as "Rebecca West" in Roserholm by Henrik Ibsen at London's Almeida Theater on May 15-July 5, 2008.

“But the best part was having lunch in the Great Hall. I even walked up to the second row in the centre where Harry always sits with his friends. I also enjoyed the special effects demonstration where they showed us how they create the magical creatures and visual effects," she added.

Radcliffe, Yates Talk Harry and Ginny
|
In a recent interview with Chilean magazine Wikén, Daniel Radcliffe talks briefly about Harry's romantic predicament in Half-Blood Prince.
"It's a complex story," said Radcliffe, who plays Harry in the films. "It's not a simple romance because Harry's friends with Ron, and Ginny's his sister. Harry feels like he's walking on eggshells."
David Yates said, "the fifth film was quite intense, but Half-Blood Prince has a lot more comedy in it. There are many subtleties in the relationship, and tonnes of both sexual and emotional tension."
Half-Blood Prince releases in cinemas on November 21st.
