Isaacs: I'll Picket Seventh Potter Set if Not in the Film
|
Jason Isaacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, recently joked that if he isn't in the last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is split into two films, he'll picket the set.
"I am not in number six unfortunately, but I hope to be in number seven which starts next year and I haven't seen the scripts. If I am not in it I will be picketing the set to be sure."
He'll begin his most recent project, Brotherhood, which is being filmed in the US, in a few days. |

Jason Isaacs Fans Auction His Photo For Oxfam
|
There is an autographed photo of Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) posted on Ebay by a group of his fans. The picture was taken during the filming of his mini-series, The State Within. The funds from the winning bid will go to Oxfam America, a charitable organization Mr. Isaacs has supported by doing a voice-over ad recently for its efforts to collect funds to build a well with clean water for villages in East Africa. The auction is open now and will end on Saturday, July 12.

Jason Isaacs Hopes to Return for Deathly Hallows
|
Jason Isaacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, recently spoke with Rotten Tomatoes. During the interview, he joked that Lucius not being in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film is a 'source of great embitterment in the Isaacs household'. He later went on to say, "He's in Azkaban so what can you do?"
He does certainly hope to return for Deathly Hallows, however he hasn't heard whether he will be or when filming will begin. Although, those who have read the seventh book know our favorite Slytherin dad returns in the last book, so let's hope Jason is signed up soon! |

Isaacs has a lot More to do in Order of the Phoenix
|
Jason Isaacs, who has the role of Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, recently spoke with Sci Fi Wire about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Here are a few excerpts (caution for *spoilers*):
"I get to have a wand battle with Gary Oldman, possibly my favorite actor in the universe," Isaacs said. "We get to play around like two 10 year olds. And with kind of unlimited sci-fi imagination. It's fun. We just go, 'Well, how about if I ... .' And anything you finish that sentence with, they go, 'Yeah, OK. You can do that.' So it was magnificent."
Since his character doesn't appear in the sixth book, he begged J. K. Rowling for an appearance in the last Harry Potter book.
"I fell to my knees and begged," he joked. "It didn't do any good. I'm sure she doesn't need plot ideas from me. But I made my point. We'll see. Like everybody else, I'm holding my breath to July to see what's in there. I just want to bust out of prison, that's all. I don't want to stay in Azkaban most of my life." |

Jason Isaacs on Filming 'Potter' Ministry scenes

Jason Isaacs (Lucious Malfoy) quite recently spoke to The Observer about his upcoming films, and a little about Harry Potter. Exactly what we all wanted to hear! 
"I spent two weeks having a wand fight with Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix) and Gary Oldman (Sirius). Potter is a well-oiled machine now, whichever director is in charge, although it's a slow process working with all those special effects. But it's such a laugh - five weeks hanging out with Oldman and Maggie Smith (McGonagall) and Michael Gambon (Dumbledore), who's a right mischievous devil."

Jason Isaacs to Start Filming OOTP in September
|
Jason Issacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has informed LA Daily News that he will begin filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in September and October.
"My bit is in September and October. It's a big blue-screen battle for a lot of it so that will be a laugh," he says. He adds, "We always have to sign these incredible confidentiality clauses where we offer up our children's eyeballs if we ever break them. I've never quite understood since they're the most popular books on the planet, but anyway, I think I'm involved in the big battle." |

Jason Isaacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, recently spoke with Empire during the 2006 Sony Ericsson Empire Awards. He was asked a few questions about filming in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Here are a few excerpts:
And how’s Harry Potter going?
I don’t know, they started without me. Like most things in my life. I haven’t even read the script yet. To be honest, I don’t know what happens in it. I know that I’m meant to end up in prison – that’s no great secret.
Will Malfoy be coming back for film 5?
Oh I don’t know, you’ll have to ask David (Heyman, Potter producer), I hope so, I can’t bear the idea that somebody else would get to wear my Paris Hilton wig, but you never know.
You have a strange relationship with your wig then?
I do, well the wig is on time-share with Paris Hilton and she comes round. It takes a lot longer to prise it off me at the end of the day because I fancy myself as the lead singer of Sweet. Nah, it’s not very long, they’re all terribly slick with it. I miss it. I like the wig. I’m not a man who gets to disguise, I look pretty much the same in everything I do except for Harry Potter and I get to wear a fabulous wig.

According to Narnia Web, Brian Cox will no longer be doing the voice for Aslan. Apparently his voice has chnaged.
