Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films), like co-star Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), now has a Twitter account. Matt confirmed with fansite Lewis Lovers that he decided to start the account as a good way of keeping in touch with fans and that. I'm on here every day, thought it'd be fun to keep people up to date! He uploaded a photo of himself saying hello to the fansite's administrator, which you can see in our gallery here.

Matthew Lewis Confirmed For Florida Supercon
|
News Blaze posted a press release announcing Florida Supercon has added 20 new guests for its convention in Miami, FL from June 5-7, 2009 at the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel and Convention Center. According to the press release, one of those guests is Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis:
Matthew Lewis: Star of the Harry Potter series of films, Matthew has portrayed Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix, Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince and the upcoming Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows.
Florida Supercon is a "comic book, anime, animation, cosplay, fantasy, and video game festival" which has been held in Florida for the past four years.

Matt Lewis: Shaved His Hair; Tom Felton Kept His
|
Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films) recently attended Collectormania and, while there, spoke with Matt Lewis Daily. During the conversation, he mentioned that as soon as he found out that he was done with reshoots for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film he shaved his hair because it was driving him mad. He also said that Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) kept his Draco hair because he likes it. A picture of him at the convention with laineys_garden can be seen in our gallery here (such beautiful eyes!).

Matt Lewis: Soccer and Collectormania
|
Matt Lewis, who portrays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, is scheduled for a soccer (football) match as a member of the Red Carpet XI Team. The match is a charity event to help raise funds for DebRA. The match will take place on September 21st at 14:00 in Featherstone, West Yorks. If interested in attending, you can purchase tickets here.
Additionally, he will be attending Collectormania 14 which begins September 26th and lasts until the 28th. The event takes place at thecentre:mk, Milton Keynes.

Videos: Matt Lewis' Panel Discussion at DragonCon
|
We previously reported on photos of Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom) at DragonCon and a small interview he did while he was there. Now, videos of his panel discussion are online. Since the discussion and the Q&A were over 30 minutes, the video was split into nine parts.
Mr. Lewis was the only one on the panel so a lot of his perspectives on the subjects were covered. He mentioned how excited he had been to meet Rik Mayall at the reading for the first Harry Potter film. Mr. Mayall had been contracted to play the mischieveous ghost Peeves, but his scenes had been cut from the movie.
Also, Mr. Lewis mentioned The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, FL. He is not allowed to say very much on that subject, but you have to watch the discussion close to the end to find out what he could say.

Matt Lewis DragonCon Photos and Small Interview
|
Matt Lewis (who portrays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films) attended the 2008 Dracon*Con in Atlanta. While he was there, a fan asked him about the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince screenplay and about the Harry and Ginny romance. Here's what he had to say:
He said he was very pleased with this one, he feels like it stayed extremely close to the book. Some things were cut, of course, and they added one scene in (with Rowling's approval) that added to the pacing and gave it a more tense, desperate feel.
I told him that I was looking extremely forward to Daniel & Bonnie's H/G scenes together and his eyes brightened and he grinned: "Oh yeah, that stuff is brilliant! With Harry and Ginny and Dean, it's all really, really fun, and it's going to be great to watch!" He sounded very enthusiastic about it.
