Gambon and Rickman Have The Perfect Voice
|
According to an article in UK’s The Herald, Post Office Telecoms conducted a research which helped experts to create a formula for the perfect male and female voices. They found that Michael Gambon (Dumbledore), Alan Rickman (Snape), and Jeremy Irons had the most appealing male voices. The voice combination of Dame Judi Dench, Mariella Frostrup, and Honor Blackman is the perfect female voice.

|
Harry Potter actors Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) and David Bradley (Argus Filtch) are teaming up together for a stage play by Harold Pinter called No Man's Land. Gambon's Message to J. K. Rowling About Dumbledore
|
Before reading this article any further, I'm going to tell you that if you have not read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, then you may be spoiled. Yes, I know, news has spread far and wide, but for those few (100?) people who do not know what happens in the 6th book, this is your fair warning...
Michael Gambon recently spoke with The Telegraph about the different acting roles he's had in the past. He had a bit to say on what happens to Dumbledore in the 6th book. "I die next year," he says. "I think I read it in the paper. It was such a shock... I'm sure if she reads this article, she might think, 'Ah, poor bloke. I'll put him in the seventh book as a ghost.' If she would kindly just put me in there."
You can read the rest of the article here, but it does contain some offensive language. |

Michael Gambon Speaks of Dumbledore Role
|
Michael Gambon, who portrays Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, was recently interviewed by BBC's Top Gear. During the interview, he did have a bit to say about the Harry Potter films. He said the following in a rather dry-humour way:
Presenter - "But of course since then, now Harry Potter has come along." Michael Gambon - "Yeah, I'm Dumbledore. Richard Harris did two films, and he died. I am now on my third." Presenter - "Do you understand the first thing that's been said in Harry Potter?" Michael Gambon - "Well, I read the script and learn the lines and I try to understand. I have to understand it, don't I, sort of... Quite often I don't know what's going on."
TLC has an video of the interview here.

Michael Gambon Speaks with Empire
|
Dumbledore actor Michael Gambon recently spoke with Empire Online. He was asked some specific questions and had some great answers!
Here are some excerpts:
Do you get fan letters? Hundreds. They warned me about that. They come from all over the world. Germany, America… all over. I do reply to them.
Do you get on with the kids? The kids are remarkable, really remarkable. I’m not saying that because I am in the bloody films. I mean Daniel is so cool and with it. He is unfazed by anything. The great luck was to get that boy I think, because he is terrific. |

Michael Gambon to be Superman Sr?
|
According to Kryptonsite (via Comics2film), Michael Gambon, who plays Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, has apparently signed on to play Superman's father, Jor-El, in the new Superman movie that is currently being filmed.
The article states: One, came across a listing at a Warner Bros.-owned website that indicates the previously-listed Michael Gambon as playing the role of Jor-El. The listing could possibly be wrong, though.
