IGN: Order of the Phoenix Game Music Best of 2007
|
IGN have released their list on the best game music for the year 2007. And who do you think is on the list? Halo? Nope. Assassin's Creed? Not even. Then who's on the list, you ask! Well, none other than Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix!
From the very beginning, it's apparent that this score is something quite special. Utilizing a full orchestra and choir recorded in London and Bratislava, the production is top-notch as expected. But while the Harry Potter game scores have always held up well to their film counterparts, Hannigan's first involvement in the franchise has resulted in game music that actually surpasses that of the film bearing the same name.
Read the article here, which also includes a stream of the track.
Thanks much to Dave for letting us know! |

New Interview from Order of the Phoenix DVD Junket
|
A new interview is now online with Jam! The interview included director David Yates, who praises the trio. Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are also in the interview. Here's an excerpt:
From Dan on his feelings for the Harry Potter franchise. So, to me, it's just about letting people know that I'm incredibly serious and passionate about this -- this series of films -- and how much they mean to me. If you've been involved in something for more than seven years now, you want to be able to talk about it articulately and explain why you love it, explain why you loved being involved in it so much. |
