Imelda Staunton Visits Hollywood

Hoping Cranford will be a recipient of the US Emmy Award, the three women also presented footage from the miniseries to the voting members of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Cranford will be considered for nominations in the following categories: Best Miniseries, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress.

My Boy Jack with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), which has already been presented by PBS Masterpiece, will also be considered for Emmy nominations.

The Emmy nominees will be officially announced on Thursday morning, July 17, 2008. The award ceremony will be televised on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 8:00pm on US ABC-TV.
