Watson & Tennant: Nominated For Disney’s Greenest Star

Playhouse Disney’s Playing for the Planet ( http://www2.disney.co.uk/DisneyChannel/playhouse/playingfortheplanet/index.html ) is a program supported by Disney and Disney.co.uk to teach preschoolers how to respect and save the planet through fun activities like making superhero capes from Dad’s old jackets.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the program, the Playing For the Planet Awards were created to honor and reward the big and small eco heroes in seven categories. One of those categories is the Greenest Star Award which honors “the best green role model from the celebrity world” . Along with Emma Watson and David Tennant, Lily Cole, Stella McCartney, Madonna and Johnny Depp are also on the list of nominees. Star couple Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin earned a joint nomination.
