Rowling was scheduled to receive the James Joyce Award from the Literary and Historical Society at University College Dublin. She received her award yesterday and also read from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and answered some questions.

Some of the questions she answered included (courtesy of La Gazette du Sorcier) that Snape and Dumbledore’s histories were established before the Philosopher Stone was published, but states that she doesn’t think about the movie when she writes (even though she had a thought for the producers after having written the battle of Hogwarts, realising how much it would cost!)

And that if she were to meet a character it would be Dumbledore, 'to apologise for outing him', according to The Independent.

When she was asked, once again, about future Harry Potter books, she said she would never say never, but it wouldn't be anytime soon (at least not within the next 10 years). She did say she would be doing the encyclopedia (but didn't say when) and that proceeds would go to charity.
