She and her creative team, consisting of theatre designer Tom Pye and artist Dorothy Cross, among others, have interpreted the story, a tragedy in which centres around Maurya who has lost her husband, five sons, and father-in-law to the sea, in a new light, setting the story to the music of the late English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. Riders to the Sea premières November 27th, 2008.
