Many of the books were first editions, including Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. It is estimated to bring £300-£500.

The other first edition books include A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with an estimated price of £7,000-£9,000; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis with an estimated price of £800-£1,200; The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling with an estimated price of £600-£800; and Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence with an estimated price of £300-£500.

The auction will be held on May 20, 2008
