Judge Robert Patterson stated that too much information was taken directly from the Harry Potter books for Steve Vander Ark's planned book, which RDR Books was publishing, called the Harry Potter Lexicon. He noted that information was especially taken from the two Comic-Relief books, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages and that Vander Ark did not put enough of his own work into the book.

The Notice of Appeal, which you can see here, was filed on November 7th, and means that an actual appeal will soon follow. We will follow up with any other details as they become available.
